TRAC Skirt System™
Benefits & Safety Innovation
What sets TSS apart from other systems?
The Trac Skirt System [TSS] by
Trac Skirt International is an innovative solution designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of conveyor skirting systems.
This system eliminates the need for confined space entry during the adjustment or replacement of conveyor skirting wear plates, significantly reducing the risks associated with manual handling and exposure to hazardous environments.

Extended Asset life
In what ways does the TSS improve the conveyors up-time?
With the ability to accurately adjust the wear liner to the conveyor belt all installations have experienced a significant reduction in conveyor skirt wear. The lifespan of the skirting liner itself is also extended, ensuring it remains effective in protecting the conveyor belt for a longer period.
Being able to assess wear in real-time enables proactive maintenance strategies, reducing unexpected failures and prolonging the belt’s life in the skirt area.
The Trac Skirt System allows for quick and accurate adjustments to the wear liner and seal. This means that any misalignments or issues can be corrected promptly, preventing long-term damage to the belt.
A cleaner conveyor system means less abrasive material and dust on the entire system, reducing overall wear and extending asset life.
Improved safety
In what ways does the TSS enhance safety?
Confined space requirements are eliminated
Manual handling is significantly reduced
Boasts the ability to utilise larger wear plates and lengths up to 15 kg
Reduced personnel numbers in maintenance 50%
Reduction in the time to perform the works by greater than 50%
Significant reduction in dust and spillage
Up-time
In what ways does the TSS increase plant up-time?
The Trac Skirt Systems™ has shown impressive results across various installations, including those at Goldfields, Northern Star and Newmont.
Key performance metrics include:
50% reduction in the time required for maintenance on both the skirt and seal
Both the seal and skirt allow for very quick and accurate adjustments.
Spillage has been eliminated, leading to a significant reduction in cleanup efforts
Operators can review the state and wear of the liners while the system is still in operation
Planning and scheduling have become more accurate
Operators have experienced a reduction in the number of belt changeouts required
Operators can work on maintaining the chutes while others continue their tasks without interruption in the skirt area
TSS change-out using the railing system
TSS change out using the manual system
Eccentric washers redefine precision and efficiency
The use of the offset washer allows for very quick and accurate adjustment of the internal wear liner to the belt. Whether the liner is 300mm long or 3000mm long just the adjustment of the 2 outside bolts quickly adjusts the internal liner to the belt.
Sealing arrangement for the load area.
TSI incorporate the liner bolt to effectively clamp the load point rubber seal in place. The clamp can be adjusted to suit the wear in the seal. Quick accurate adjustment
Sealing arrangement outside the load area.
Trac Skirt International’s design incorporates magnets with a 1.5 mm dust seal specifically designed for areas outside the load zone. Significantly reduces the boil point in the skirt zone and allows any loose material to be transported up the belt and not get jammed between the seal and board.
BEFORE
The site required dust and spillage
cleanup every 2 to 3 days
AFTER
Thirteen weeks after
installation of TSS, minimal clean-up is required
